About the role
You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain residential (and light commercial) HVAC systems with a focus on first-time fixes, clean workmanship, and great communication. Perform maintenance using company checklists; report findings for repair and document everything in software.
-
Own the call flow: greet, diagnose, present options, complete work, collect payment, summarize next steps.
-
Present solutions (no pressure, just honest options): repairs, accessories (IAQ, surge, water safety), and memberships.
-
Quality & safety: charge recovery, nitrogen brazing (when applicable), leak search, combustion analysis, proper paperwork & photos.
-
Job documentation: accurate notes, parts used, before/after photos, and customer signatures.
-
Team play: flag follow-ups, coordinate with Dispatch and Service Coordinator (return trips/parts), and share field feedback to improve SOPs.
-
Professionalism: clean van, uniform, respectful communication, protect customer property, leave work areas spotless.
